About

I completed my initial qualification as a Registered General Nurse in Ireland in 1986. The following year, I moved to Australia, working in Sydney and Melbourne before settling in Perth.
I completed my Midwifery studies at St John of God, Subiaco, in 1992. Many new mothers require ongoing guidance to breastfeed their children. I could see there was a high demand for breastfeeding support for mothers returning home after giving birth. Being a mother of twin girls who were born prematurely, I can relate on a personal level to the concerns and needs of new mothers.
I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 1997 and set up the Breastfeeding support service (outpatient clinic) at St John of God Hospital. For 25 years, I have had the pleasure of supporting families in their quest to breastfeed successfully. I am now available as a private Lactation Consultant.
I am a member of the College of Lactation Consultants WA. and LCANZ.
